Spicebox Canadian Spiced Whisky was inspired by a certain Canadian distiller's Prohibition-era practice of shipping wooden barrels of whisky marked "spices" to the United States. The whisky starts off as a blend of whisky's aged for 3 to 6 years in bourbon barrels. Vanilla and spice flavors are then extracted and added to the whisky through cold infusion. The master blender admits to using three different types of vanilla beans but the exact beans and remaining spices are his secret. Available in 3 distinctive varieties:
Original Spiced Whiskey 37% ABV – A secret recipe blending the finest aged Canadian whisky with Vanilla and exotic spices to produce a smooth warming whiskey perfect for mixing
Cinnamon Spiced 33% ABV – a blend of aged premium Canadian whisky steeped in cinnamon bark to produce a warm spicy drink of uncharacteristic smoothness.
Pumpkin Spice 35% ABV – An autumn and winter favourite, blending spices with pumpkin and aged Canadian whisky to produce a delicious smooth taste of warm seasoned pumpkins
The Irishman Single Malt
This Irishman Single Malt is one of only a handful of Irish triple distilled single malts on the market. This is a classic Irish Malt, triple distilled and aged in Oak Bourbon and Oloroso Sherry Casks to give exceptional flavour and complexity. Each batch is limited to a maximum of 6,000 bottles. The Irishman Single Malt boasts an impressive medal haul both in Europe and the USA for its outstanding quality. None more so than a Double Gold Medal “The World Spirits Competition” in San Francisco and its Gold Medal in ISW Germany. Each bottle carries a batch number and signature as a mark of the highest quality.
The Irishman 12 Year Old Single Malt
September 2013 marked the launch of The Irishman 12 Year Old Single Malt. This outstanding whiskey is the outcome of 12 years maturation in exclusively first fill Bourbon casks. The Irishman 12 Year Old Single Malt is a timeless Irish Malt which is matured in first fill, flame charred Bourbon barrels. Each year we will select only a handful of the best barrels, to make ‘the cut’ for our 12 Year Old. A maximum of 6000 bottles will be produced each year. Each bottle comes numbered by batch as a mark of quality and is non-chill filtered.
The Irishman Founders Reserve
The Founder’s Reserve is a unique take on the old Irish Pot Still Whiskey and is the original and signature blend created by founder Bernard Walsh. It is a blend of two styles, Single Malt and Single Pot Still. The proportions used are 70% Single Malt and 30% Single Pot Still. This is unusual in itself, as it is the only Irish blended whiskey to contain 100% whiskey distillates from the copper pot still and 0% Grain or Column still whiskey. This results in a much more flavoursome whiskey. The Founder’s Reserve is triple distilled and matured in Bourbon Casks. A Gold Medal Winner at The International Spirits Challenge in London, one of the highest rated Irish Whiskey’s in Jim Murray’s Whiskey Bible with 93 points – “Quite a Wonderful Blend” and most recently awarded Gold at “The Whiskey Masters” as overall winner in “The Irish Whiskey Category”. Writers Tears Copper Pot
Writers’ Tears is a unique vatting of Aged Single Pot Still and Single Malt whiskey. Distilled entirely from Pot Still and Malt, without Grain, this is a truly special Irish whiskey. Writers’ Tears is triple distilled, non-peated and matured and aged in American Oak bourbon casks. A gold Medal winner at the International Spirits Challenge in London and one of the highest rated Irish Whiskeys in Jim Murray’s Iconic “Whiskey Bible” “Altogether a very unusual Irish Whiskey , a throwback to the last century where spiced Pure Pot Still whiskey was married with Floral Single Malt” – Jim Murray . It has also been added to Ian Buxton’s publication “101 Whiskeys to try before you die”.
Writers Tears Red Head
This exquisite, triple-distilled single malt is matured only in select handpicked Spanish sherry butts which have previously been seasoned with the finest Oloroso sherry. It is the influence of these scarce butts that give this expression of Writers’ Tears its signature rich, ruby hue and hence the moniker – ‘Red Head’. The expression is distilled without chill filtering as nature intended and at a distinctive 46% ABV.
